What I Made for Dinner: August 13, 2011

Italian feast.

The boy is back from camp, school starts on Monday.  A little end-of-summer celebration with family seemed like a fun thing to do.  Here's the menu:

  • Antipasto platter: assorted cheeses, olives, fried sage leaves, prosciutto, salami, dates.
  • Fettuccine alfredo.
  • Penne with olive oil, raw tomatoes, and torn basil leaves.
  • Grilled chicken spedini with garlic-lemon sauce.
  • Salad of mixed lettuces, sweet onion, and tomatoes with vinaigrette.
Bonus:  It's finally cool enough to sit outside in the evening!  It was a lovely time.
